The FSB has released information about the identities of the alleged perpetrator and possible accomplices in the assassination attempt on General Vladimir Alekseyev. Among them are a machine operator from Ternopil, his friend, an employee of the Zhilishchnik State Budgetary Institution, and a woman who was a neighbor of the apartment where General Vladimir Alekseyev had been. According to the Cheka-OGPU and Rucriminal.info, security forces have detained and are investigating at least one other woman for involvement. We’ll tell you about them in turn.
Security services have named Lyubomir Korb, a native of Ternopil, Ukraine (who holds Russian citizenship), as the suspected perpetrator. The Cheka-OGPU has learned that back in the 1990s, he lived in Moscow, was an ordinary worker, and was dating Moscow resident Anna Morozova. The woman lived on Bolshaya Cherkizovskaya Street and registered him at her friend’s husband’s apartment on Boytsovaya Street.
In Russia, Lyubomir Korba tried to engage in trade, but it didn’t work out (the company was liquidated in 2010). After some time, Lyubomir and Anna broke up; according to acquaintances, he broke her heart and left for his homeland. In Ternopil, Korba opened a company and married a local resident, Svetlana.
According to leaked documents, Korba had maintained regular contacts with another defendant, Viktor Vasin, long before the incident. In 2016, Korba received money transfers from Vasin—on January 24 for 3,000 rubles and on July 4 for 1,500 rubles. In both cases, Korba was listed as the recipient, and Vasin as an associated party.
According to the FSB, Viktor Vasin is being considered a possible accomplice. On social media, he positioned himself as having ties to the Navy. Leaked documents list him as someone with a civilian work history. Vasin was employed at various civil and quasi-governmental institutions over the years. His most recent place of employment included the State Budgetary Institution "Zhilishchnik of the Shchukino District" (the district where the assassination attempt took place), as well as scientific institutions such as the Chemical Industry Research Institute and the Institute of Molecular Biology of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Another figure named by the FSB is Zinaida Serebritskaya, who, according to Telegram chats, is a resident of the building where the assassination attempt took place. The Cheka-OGPU obtained data from common and entryway chats, in which Serebritskaya was highly active. She regularly discussed issues related to entryway access, intercoms, doors, locks, and building security. For example, on February 3, Serebritskaya contacted neighbors asking for help with the intercom code, explaining that her child sometimes arrives before her, and she might not be available. In other discussions, she responded to reports of attempted break-ins and suggested contacting security.
The leaked data also recorded Serebritskaya’s activity outside of the residential chats. In July 2025, she posted ads for an 86-square-meter house for sale in her native village of Khoroshe in the Luhansk region, stating that the property was debt-free and being registered through Rosreestr. These ads were repeatedly posted in various chats.
According to acquaintances of the Cheka-OGPU, at the end of last year, Lyubomir Korba contacted Anna Morozova again and proposed "a fresh start." Morozova eventually agreed to accept him. She lived alone; according to available information, she had not communicated with her relatives for over ten years due to a conflict over property. She had no children or husband.
Anna Morozova lived in a house on Mozhaisk Highway. There, she apparently received her old friend. This information matches the official version: according to the Investigative Committee, Lyubomir Korba arrived in Moscow in late 2025. Morozova is currently being questioned; her phone number is unavailable. She may not only have accommodated Korba, but also lent him her old Mercedes. She could be charged as a third accomplice.
